The 666m Dragon Bridge, opened in 2013, spans the Han River with its sinuous dragon design — symbolizing prosperity. It's Vietnam's first fire-and-water-breathing bridge and has become Da Nang's most recognized icon.
Unique Dragon-Inspired Architecture
The dragon — a Vietnamese cultural symbol of strength, luck, and prosperity. Designed by Louis Berger Group (USA) and Ammann & Whitney with Vietnamese engineers, the dragon's head faces east toward the sea, embodying the aspiration to reach the ocean. The steel dragon structure weighs 9,000 tons, adorned with thousands of color-changing LED lights.

Fire Show — Completely Free
Every Saturday, Sunday, and holiday at 9 PM, the dragon breathes fire for about 5 minutes, then sprays water for 5 more. Around 5,000-10,000 people line both riverbanks to watch. The amber flames reflecting off the river create a spectacle that amazes every visitor.
