Sa Huynh Beach: Quang Ngai's Untouched Coastal Beauty

7 min 5401

Sa Huynh lies at Quang Ngai's southern tip, 250km from Da Nang — one of Central Vietnam's most pristine beaches, still untouched by commercial tourism. The area is also linked to the ancient Sa Huynh culture (3,000 years ago), one of Vietnam's three ancient civilizations.

Wild Beach Paradise

Over 3km of fine golden sand with gentle waves. No resorts, no bars — just sea, sand, palms, and peaceful fishing villages. Buy seafood straight from fishing boats (lobster 300,000-500,000 VND/kg, crab 150,000 VND/kg).

Ancient Sa Huynh Culture

The Sa Huynh Culture Museum displays thousands of artifacts from burial jars — a unique funerary tradition of this 3,000-year-old civilization; one of Vietnam's three ancient cultures alongside Dong Son and Oc Eo.

Getting There

Da Nang to Sa Huynh: 4-5 hours by car. Best combined in a Central Vietnam road trip: Da Nang → Hoi An → My Son → Sa Huynh → Ly Son. A 7-seater for groups is most convenient and economical.

💡 Mẹo: Sa Huynh has limited tourist infrastructure. Book homestays ahead or treat it as a stop on a road trip.
